Sisterhood
Thank you for your interest in the BSBI Sisterhood!
The BSBI Sisterhood is a vital organization within our congregation. Our activities include preparing and serving condolence meals and keeping our kitchen appliances (freezers, refrigerators, and dishwashers) in good working order.
Our biggest fundraiser is our Mishloach Manot Project on Purim. We prepare more than 500 bags of food which we then personally deliver to BSBI members and friends throughout the Charleston area.
In addition, we also have a very well run and operated Orthogram greetings initiative. Through this program we send birthday and anniversary greetings on request for a mere $1.25. The Sisterhood also operates a small gift shop which sells all manner of items ranging from Chanukah and Havdalah candles to Seder and Challah plates. The display case, which is more than decoration, is located within the foyer of the social hall.
